About Honest Stack

Honest Stack is an independent guide to the software behind a website: headless CMSs, website builders, and ecommerce platforms. We compare them honestly, score them consistently, and say plainly who each one suits.

Why we exist

Search for 'X vs Y' in this space and most of the top results are written by one of the two vendors. That is not a comparison, it is a sales page. We started Honest Stack to be the neutral referee: the same criteria for every tool, no vendor sponsorship, and a willingness to say when something is not worth it.

How we work

We build our reviews on structured, dated data and a consistent scoring method you can read on our methodology page, and we keep our funding transparent on our disclosure page. We write for two readers at once: the developer choosing a headless CMS, and the founder choosing a website builder.
